Blog: Nintendo Radar – Black Friday

Note: Hello there! Hmm, you found a secret unannounced blog post. Ah yes, well I’m simply archiving one my old radars! :D Enjoy!

What’s up this week? Why, Black Friday of course! Not sure what that is? Read this quick excerpt from wikipedia…

Black Friday is the day after Thanksgiving and is the beginning of the traditional Christmas shopping season in the United States. Since Thanksgiving falls on the fourth Thursday in November in the United States, Black Friday may be as early as the 23rd and as late as the 29th day of November. Retailers often decorate for the Christmas season weeks beforehand. Many retailers open very early (typically 5 A.M.) and offer doorbuster deals and loss leaders to draw people to their stores. Although Black Friday, as the first shopping day after Thanksgiving, has served as the unofficial beginning of the Christmas season at least since the start of the modern Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in 1924, the term “Black Friday” has been traced back only to the 1970s. “Black Friday” was originally so named because of the heavy traffic on that day, although most contemporary uses of the term refer instead to it as the beginning of the period in which retailers are in the black (i.e., turning a profit).

So, yeah, I’m sure you know about this, but may not of known there was a name of it. Or maybe you have. Oh well.

I particularly enjoy this shopping event for waking up at 5 A.M. to fight the crowds and see what deals can be taken. So, I’ve gathered a few things of interest (Nintendo stuff, obviously) that have caught my eye and it may interest you as well.

Wow, these are some nice limited edition DSs at Best Buy! If I had money I might of upgrade my DS Phat to that shiny gold Zelda DS! Friday & Saturday only!

Hmm, this seems like a good deal. This was a snapshot taken at a KB Toys store, and but 1 get 1 free doesn’t seem like a bad deal.

However, where the heck is the nearest KB Toys?

This comes with:

Two Wiimotes
Two nunchucks
Super Paper Mario
Mario Party 8
Brunswick Pro Bowling
(Two Wiimotes and Nunchuks are separate from the ones included with the Wii)

From 5 to 7 AM you’ll only be able to purchase one per customer, but after that you can grab as many as you want. This is an online deal at, but not price was announced.

*GASP*! $35 for SUPER MARIO GALAXY at Circuit City? Wow, makes me wish I hadn’t pre-ordered/bought it already. Oh well, I’d probably wouldn’t be able to wait that long anyway. Ha, but this is a steal.

Blog: Some new stuff…?

.. eh, kinda. Hello again! Erm, let’s see, I’m sure you know by know that I have pushed back the date for #1.2. Yeah, sorry, I know, actually a lot people of bugging me for the next episode, but I won’t be able to release when I said, which was today…

Don’t worry, the script is almost done, and I am possible looking into using a different camera for filming, so if you’re out there (and you know me obviuosly), drop me a comment!

Um, anyway, as for as the site goes, I’ve been working hard on a new community page which I hope to release later today actaully. And, yes, I will be having the fourms here again instead of proboards (if you’ve been wondering because those forums are done). So, once that happens, there should be a lot more activity on this sorta dead site. After all, the community is the basis of this site.

Also, keep on the look out for a big site community event with the tentative title of “NB Adventure”. Heh, yep, the surprises are coming! If you want to become a member here, visit back in a little bit and you’ll get the opportunity! Anyway, thanks again for reading!

Blog: Darn you freewebs!

Yeah, so my hosting service that I pay for ( – which has a horrible service, but I just like the features) is becoming so glitchy it’s hard to update at the moment. Yes, I do realize that some of the videos on the site do not work for some odd reason, and our hosting guy will be looking into the problem. This probably means that some events I have been planning for the site will more than likely be delayed, including episode #1.2. =(

Thanks for hanging with me!!

Blog: Bullet Updates!

  • A new gift shop opened up, so far with one item up for sale!
  • If you’re in IB and haven’t checked the page lately, there’s a neat facebook picture to look at.
  • The release date of episode #1.2 is still Nov. 3rd, and I hope I don’t have to delay it because of school work.
  • Also, if you haven’t joined the community yet, be sure to do so! It’s growing!

There isn’t much new on the site until this Saturday, Nov. 3rd. So, hang tight!

Blog: I Can’t Believe it’s not not Nintendo Boy!

Well, it’s done. The first episode ever to walk the site. It took 3 hours to make, 2 computer re-boots, and 1 beautiful movie maker program. Priceless. (Okay, so that was a bit cliche)

It’s Episode #1.1!!! So far I’ve posted it on YouTube and Facebook, and it should be here on its own page by the time you read this.

I am really happy the way it turned out. Yeah, it’s not perfect, but it’s my first video ever, and it can now grace the pages of this site.

Episode #1.1 is a bit cliche itself in the way the music elements are used, but hey, what are you gonna do? After all, it’s the first NB video ever. Soon hopefully, I’ll have ’em in iPod-ready format for you to download (that is if you want my pretty face on your iPod… lol)

Anyway, I welcome you to view it here, YouTube, or whatever, and please leave my some feedback! It’ll help me when I go about making the next episodes in the series.

So, uh, thanks for your support, and thanks for coming to! I appreciate your page hits immensely! Heh.

Blog: Brawl delayed until Feb. 10th

Word is coming from Nintendo’s press conference that Brawl has seen an official delay until February 10th. That’s a Sunday, a very strange day for a game release in the United States…

I can’t believe it… yet another delay. :( I mean, this game was suppose to be a launch title for Wii! This better be the best game ever in the history of video games.

At least we still have Galaxy to look forward to December 3rd!

Blog: 10.10.07 – Nintendo caused jaws to drop all over the world!

Sonic has been officially confirmed for Brawl! Can you say “sweetness”? You can view more info on Sonic in Brawl along with 2 videos at the smashbros website (link below). However in other not-so-good news relating to Brawl, the release date for the game changed from “December 3rd, 2007” to TBD, which more than likely means this highly-anticipated game will be delayed yet again. I hear it is confirmed as delayed in Japan until early January 2008. I hope it’ll be released by the holiday season so I can get it cheap! C’mon Brawl people, this game is the reason why I have a Wii! Link, Snake, and Sonic will be my most favorite characters! Woohoo!

In other news, the Wii got a fresh of breathe air again as you can now update to the Wii Menu 3.1, which will be able to host new updated versions of the “Everybody Votes” & Internet Channel. Also, Nintendo is working on a new upgrade that will let you download free DS games demos to your DS from the Wii! That sounds awesome!

Anyway stay tuned for more info, and thanks for stopping by Nintendo Boy!

Blog: Finally, some Nintendoness!

That’s right; I have finally got a “Nintendo Updates” blog started. After all, it is! So yeah, I’ve been meaning to do this at the very beginning, but I’ve been kinda putting it off. Oh well, too bad. So anyway, not much news with the big N to report today, however if you are currently a Wii Owner, have I got some news to share!
Nintendo is now packaging “Wii Remote Jackets” with Wii Consoles that will be shipped after October 15th.
Now at first, I thought, well that’s a cool little case for your remote, but I bought my Wii earlier this year and was a bit disappointed not to be able to get one. However I quickly read on and saw that we early buyers have been considered also; even veteran Wii owners can order up to four these bad boys for free at Nintendo’s support site. Nintendo will begin shipping these free remote jackets to you starting on October 15th, so if you are a Wii Owner, go ahead and place an order! After all, it?s free!
